The legendary Bollywood diva Asha Bhosle is to headline an exclusive charity concert at the Royal Albert Hall to raise funds for Help the Aged on Friday 25th October at 8.00pm.

The spectacular event promises to mark the height of Britain's celebration of Asian culture this year and will be followed by a star-studded after-show reception, in the presence of Asha Bhosle and well-known celebrities and British Asian figures.

Asha Bhosle's glittering career spans over half a century in the music and film industry and her voice has been used for an astonishing 12,000 tracks. Famous for inspiring international artists ranging from Boy George to Cornershop, Bhosle is adored by billions of fans from around the world.

Asha's captivating singing style, embraces popular, classical and traditional Indian music and the Royal Albert Hall concert promises an eclectic range of songs spanning from the 1950's to the present day. This rare Bollywood extravaganza will also feature Sudesh Bhosle plus a twenty-three strong troupe of India's most talented musicians and dancers direct from Bombay.

The concert has been generously supported by Patak's Foods Ltd, as part of the company's ongoing commitment to the work of Help the Aged. Director of Patak's Foods Ltd, Meena Pathak and her husband Kirit have supported the charity for two years and funded a Mobile Medical Unit in Gujarat, which treats 30,000 older people a year. All proceeds from Asha's concert and the after-show party will support Mobile Medicare Units in India, bringing free medical relief to poor and needy older people.
