CAFE SPICE NAMASTE LAUNCHES NEW GINGER GARDEN
(16 June 2004)

Cyrus & Pervin TodiwalaRenowned Chef Cyrus Todiwala last night proved that "the show really must go on" in the Curry Restuarant Trade, by checking himself out of the Royal London Hospital to attend the opening of his new Ginger Garden at Cafe Spice Namasté. The Svengali of Spice, sported a rather fetching plastic name band - so common in hospitals - to make sure that his guests has every opportunity to tuck into Chicken Tikka, succulent Kebabs and a host of other delicacies all washed down with mango bellinis and champagne.

The Ginger Garden serves Champagne, refreshing beer and nibbles, and also features an outside Tandoor where Cyrus and his chefs will experiment with fresh and exciting ‘alfresco’ Indian recipes. The garden is accessible via a separate entrance in Magdalen Passage and will open its doors to the general public on the 16th June 2004 from 7.30pm onwards.

“The Ginger Garden is the perfect way to enjoy Indian food. The summer heat compliments the flavour of the spices and also provides the perfect conditions for a beer to accompany the meal” said Cyrus Todiwala MBE. The design of the garden is in-keeping with the Café Spice Namasté theme of vibrant, hot colours with peaceful Parsee murals painted on the walls. Decking and tropical planting feature heavily, as well as a traditional mosaic bar where you will be able to drink a refreshing beer or cocktail, and taste Indian gourmet delights. A range of Bombay snacks and sandwiches will be served everyday during the summer from 3-6pm.
