Zee
Television brings you the best of Bollywood and the cream of the
Indian television industry at the Zee Carnival 2006 from 10-12 March
at London's Olympia. When it comes to Bollywood, Rani Mukerji is
about as big a name as you can hope to meet. With super-hit films
like Black, Bunty Aur Babli , Paheli, Hum Tum and Kuch Kuch Hota
Hai under her belt, Rani Mukerji is today firmly entrenched as the
No 1 actress in Bollywood and an A list star in her own right.
She
has made the Best Actress Award her own in several award shows over
the years and has won both commercial and critical acclaim for her
performances. The darling of a Nation, her warm personality is almost
as famous as her dimpled smile, and you can see her exclusively
at this year's Zee Carnival 2006.
Accompanying
her is the man who sent many female hearts a flutter with his song
Jaan Leva. Crossing over from the glamorous world of modelling,
Arjun Rampal has made a seamless transition into Bollywood and is
today recognised as one of the sexiest men in the industry. With
Tehzeeb , Aankhen and most recently, Ek Ajnabee, Arjun Rampal has
only grown bigger and better.
If
that weren't enough, Zee Carnival 2006 will also play host to the
dusky Bengali beauty Rimi Sen, who created a Hungama in our hearts
with her debut film of the same name. She then went on to do blockbusters
like Dhoom, Garam Masala and Deewane Hue Pagal. Joining Rani, Arjun
and Rimi is Neha Dhupia, another of Bollywood's up and coming actresses.
Crowned Miss India in 2002, Neha has since made a mark in Bollywood
by doing challenging roles in films like Julie, Rakht and last year's
hit Kya Kool Hain Hum. This is one actress who's not afraid to tread
new ground.
If
you have ever wondered whether DK is really as intimidating and
charismatic in person as he is on screen in Tumhari Disha, or whether
Saloni is really as shy and soft-spoken as her character in Saat
Phere? This is your chance to find out as Ashish Nayyar and Rashri
Thakur are coming to Zee Carnival 2006 to meet all their fans in
London.
With
them is the bubbly Divya Dutta. When Divya isn't interviewing your
favourite Zee stars for Galaxzee of Stars she keeps busy by shooting
for films such as Silsilay, Baghban and Veer Zaara (for which she
won the Best Supporting Actress award at the prestigious Zee Cine
Award 2005).
We
have also managed to drag Shaan away from his hectic singing and
filming schedule in India. Besides being the much-loved presenter
of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Shaan is also one of the top playback singers
in Bollywood and has a very successful pop career.
The
Cookery Theatre in the Zee Carnival 2006 will be hosted by Zee's
very own celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor, whom you've watched over
the years in the immensely popular cookery show, Khana Khazana.
As always he will cook up something special and bring you some classic
and some unusual recipes in his own inimitable style.
We
have also specially invited Humayun Saeed to the Zee Carnival 2006
all the way from Pakistan to meet his fans in the UK. A hugely poplular
actor who graces several Zee TV dramas such as Shiddat, Mehendi
& Chandni Raatien, he is currently the hottest property in Pakistan.
