Asian Art in London: 6 -14 November 2003For anyone interested in the art and culture of the countries of Asia, Asian Art in London is an annual treat not to be missed. This landmark in the international art calendar returns this autumn from Thursday 6th November to Friday 14th November 2003. Around fifty of the most experienced specialist dealers in the world team-up with the major auction houses and experts from the capital's most respected cultural institutions and museums for this prestigious ten-day event. Asian Art in London is made up of exhibitions, auctions, lectures, open evenings and receptions. Almost all events are open to the public. There is also a guidebook listing all exhibitions and the programme of events throughout Asian Art in London.

This year, Asian Art in London, is delighted to present widely contrasting themes. Amongst the many exhibitions and shows, there will be 10th - 13th century Chinese ceramics at Eskenazi Ltd; contemporary Indian paintings shown by Rob Dean Art Ltd (including works by Jitish Kallat who participated in the Tate modern exhibition "Century City"); a European collection of fifty Tibetan sculptures from 12th - 18th centuries at Rossi and Rossi and a collection of paintings by Olivia Dalrymple, entitled "Made in India"at Indar Pasricha Fine Arts. A diverse range of objects on view and for sale in the many galleries will include furniture, decorative objects and works of art from China, Japan and Korea, India and South East Asia which, together with examples of Himalayan, Tibetan and Islamic art, will span 7000 years up to the present day.
