The world's most accomplished Indian classical musician and the man who famously popularised Indian music in the sixties, Ravi Shankar's inspirational career spans over seventy years, during which time he has influenced artists as diverse as John Coltrane, George Harrison, Yehudi Menuhin, Philip Glass and The Grateful Dead.

Anoushka ShankarAs his daughters now step forward to claim the world stage for themselves, the baton of Indian classical music ambassador is passed on to Anoushka. Part of a new generation of young Asian musicians, Anoushka Shankar brings the classical Indian tradition into the contemporary.
