EDITORIAL COMMENT

Feeling a little unloved and unwanted? Well join the growing club - the Asian non-doms who feel their economic contribution to Britain is unloved, given the £30,000 tax levied on them by the Government, are planning an exodus. The Hindu community feeling unwanted and disengaged from the politics is venting its frustration with protests. Indian doctors who've been designated 'unwanted' after decades of service to the NHS are taking their visa case to the House of Lords and Asian Post Office owners threatened with closure are lobbying the Mayor to retain their livelihoods. And let's not forget that "excellence in Arts", as demonstrated by Watermans and Tara Arts, is rewarded with a slap in the face and withdrawal of funding from the Arts Council.

Can we really call this progress?

Until next time,
Lopa Patel (Editor - Redhotcurry.com)

PS. Don't make your mother feel unloved or unwanted this weekend - remember that its Mother's Day on Sunday 2nd March!
