Asian sisters' set-up an educational charity
Asian
sisters Daksha and Nimi Hirani have founded Raha International,
a charity that provides educational services and directly funds
children's schooling in Kenya, the adopted country where both women
were raised. Raha also provides services for disabled and HIV-positive

UK's first Hindu primary is a model ecological
school
Harrow's Krishna Avanti School, the first state-funded Hindu primary
in Britain, looks set to become a model ecological school. The school,
which started on 8th September 2009 with 86 pupils in nursery &
reception classes, is built on Vedic design principles. read

Fifty Community Groups launch 'National Sewa

to launch 'National Sewa Day'. They collectively pledged to organise
