Asian
chefs unite to host a dinner for the Indian Ocean
Disaster Relief charity

Quilon, Alfred Prasad of Tamarind, Cyrus Todiwala
of Café Spice Namaste and Vivek Singh of
The Cinnamon Club have all been brought together
by Karim Ullah, Publisher of Asian Enterprise
magazine to raise money for The Indian Ocean Disaster
Relief and Head and Neck Cancer Research Trust.
The star-studded line-up of award-winning Indian
chefs is coming together for the first time ever
to cook up a five-course feast for charity on
16 September 2009 the new Grange St. Pauls
Hotel in London.
Karim Ullah, Publisher of
Asian Enterprise says: Im really proud
to be able to present some of Londons finest
chefs all under one roof. Never before has there
been an event where leading Indian chefs have
prepared a five-course meal together, so this
is going to be an amazing opportunity to sample
the cuisine of these outstanding chefs, in just
one sitting. They are all incredibly excited about
working together and raising money for charity.
About the chefs
Sriram Aylurs restaurant
The Quilon, in Londons Westminster is revered
for its specialty, South Indian cuisine and received
its first Michelin star in 2008. He has won numerous
other awards for his outstanding creations.
Vineet Bhatia first won the
coveted Michelin star in 2001 and then subsequently
in 2006 with his posh eatery, Rasoi. Vineet Bhatia.
He was hand-picked to be a food consultant for
British Airways and is behind Urban Turban restaurant.
Alfred Prasad is executive
chef at Tamarind in Mayafair and is the youngest
Indian chef to receive a Michelin star at 29.
His expertise, talent and ambition have ensured
that Tamarind's cuisine continues to receive praise
from guests and critics alike.
Vivek Singh is the Head Chef
of The Cinnamon Club and been redefining expectations
of Indian cooking. He crafts a brilliant marriage
between Indian flavours and spicing and western
culinary styles.
Cyrus Todiwala is proprietor
and Executive Chef of the Café Spice Namasté
restaurant group (Cafe Spice Namaste and The Parsee).
In 2000 Cyrus was awarded an MBE in recognition
of his extensive knowledge, skill, commitment
and expertise to the restaurant and catering industry.

About the Head & Neck
Cancer Research Trust
The Head & Neck Cancer
Research Trust (H&NCRT) was founded in 1979
to promote awareness and fund research into head
and neck cancers. As a long term goal, the Trust
wishes to establish a Head & Neck Cancer Research
Unit at The Royal Marsden and Institute of Cancer
Research. This will provide a national centre
for research into head and neck cancer.
