SETBACKS FOR BOLLYWOOD AFTER SALMAN'S ARREST |
After
Sanjay Dutt, it is now jail for Salman Khan and the Hindi film industry
is feeling the pinch. Dutt's jail term had put Rs.1 billion (Rs.
100 crores) worth movie projects on hold and his possible incarceration
would stall projects worth another Rs.750 million. A
Jodhpur court upheld the five-year sentence given to Salman by a
lower court in April 2006 for killing an endangered chinkara deer
in 1998.

BHATTI GOES 'MAD' WITH FILM SCHOOL |
Satirist,
comedian, actor and director Jaspal Bhatti has started a film school
called MAD, short for Media and Digital Arts, at Mohali in Punjab.
The film school will offer courses to yougsters on acting, comedy,
direction, cinematography, editing, film and television production,
animation and radio jockeying. In typical Bhatti style, the faculty
and staff wear T-shirts with the 'filmi keeda' logo inscribed on
the back.

DUTT WALKS FREE FROM JAIL |
Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt walked out of the Yerawada Jail early
on Thursday, 21 nights after a TADA court sent him to prison for
possessing weapons given by the accused in the 1993 Mumbai bombings.
The actor reached his Bandra residence in Mumbai with hordes of
fans waiting outside his house.

UPSET AT BOLLYWOOD'S APATHY |
Sameera
Reddy seems to be quite a gutsy girl. The actress remains unflustered
despite being attacked by property goons while helping girls from
an orphanage who were being evicted. Sameera said she was unhappy

girls.
