Asli Bollywood Band
Classic
Hindi film songs from this popular seven-piece band with two vocalists
and special guest singer Nirmal Udhas whose mellow voice has both
range and depth, loading his dinging with feeling.
Panjabi

DJ/Producer
PMC, is one of the first UK Bhangra artists to breakthrough into
the mainstream charts placing Bhangra on the map and catching the
hearts of a wider audience. The young innovator has toured world
wide, produced a string of albums and collaborated with a range
of high profile artists.
Sonia
Panesar featuring Ravi Rai
Singer
Sonia Panesar takes the stage with rapper Ravi Rai and guest dhol
drummers in an explosive mix of musical styles.
Revive
They're
young, they're fresh and they've just released an album called Reach.
Revive
are 7 young musicians who's background range from Asian Classical
right through to R n B and Garage. The dynamic crew performs a mix
of Hindi classics, bollywood remixes and pop with a sprinkling of
bhangra and garage.
Bapi
das Baul
Paris
based artist Bapi Das Baul is the eighth generation of one of the
most respected Baul families in Calcutta. His lively ensemble mixes
traditional music with electronica. Baul, is derived from the Sanskrit
word "vahula" and the Bauls are possessed with madness
and inspiration, creating joyous music and melody with a range of
handmade instruments and voice.
Loveleena
Croydon
based singer Loveleena wowed the crowds at last years Mela with
a guest appearance on the classical stage. This year Loveleena is
back, joined by a host of performers, to open the main stage with
an upbeat pop set presenting classic popular film songs, folk tunes,
ghazals and geet.
NACH
ARENA
The
dance music stage is again promoted by Class:Act. Dedicated to the
younger generation, prepare yourself to Nach the day away with a
host of DJs, MCs, singers and explosive performances. Featuring
Rishi Rich, Bee2, Mr Rekhtic, Hartinder Singh Dhami, award winning
DJ's Stevoss & J Maka and much much more!

CLASSICAL STAGE
This
year the Asian Resource Centre have provided a laid back area with
a classical stage featuring Santoor Player Kiranpal Singh + Tabla
and Sarang and a stunning performance with Monorama Prasdad (South
Indian Vocalist) with Mridagam and Violinist
COMMUNITY
STAGE
This
years community stage has the usual hussle and bustle of dances
and singers from around Croydon, showcasing their talents and creating
a vibrant space.
