best Mela is back on Sunday 18 July at Lloyd Park in Croydon, with
an explosive mix of musical styles. The main stage will be hosted
by two of the hottest names on the Asian music scene DJ: Bobby Friction
and MC: Nihal and will feature Apache Indian. Jassi Sidhu, Heera
and Sidi Goma, the African-Indian Sidis from Gujarat. The Nach Arena
line-up includes RDB, Simon Sez (Ill Kidz), Class Act Djs, All Out
Crew, DJ Stevoss, Mista K aka Khullar, Ranj Rekhl aka Mr. Rekhtic,
Messy Jessy aka All out Geeza, Doctor D. S Styla, Mc Scuzie.

Indian links traditional Asian sounds with influences from mainstream
pop, reggae and Hip Hop. Hes sold 11 million albums worldwide,
has 7 UK Top Forty Hits under his belt as well as a string of industry
award nominations. His infamous track Boomshackalack
featured in the movies Scoobie Doo 2 and Dumb and Dumber as well
featured in over 70 TV commercials worldwide. Over the past few
years hes been touring around the world with his band, and
collaborating with the likes of Stereo Nation, Jazzy B, Sly and
Robbie, Maxi Priest, Boy George and many more. And hes bringing
his 11 piece live show to Croydon Mela this year so get ready!

Formerly
part of the band B21 one of the bands associated with the
reinvention of UK Bhangra music in recent times Jassi Sidhu
returns to launch his solo career. Hes set to rock the main
stage with tunes from his recently released album Reality check
with a live PA, dancers and dhol players.

rare opportunity to discover the joyful and exuberant devotional
music and dance of the hidden community of Sidi African-Indians
from Gujarat, India. Their energetic, powerful stage-show comprises
a group of twelve, four lead musicians and eight dancers. Be prepared
for an energetic stage-show that is both captivating and powerful,
with a unique mix of African-Indian tradition and an exhilarating
performance style.

Singh, renowned for his Bollywood film work, joins forces with Heera,
the infamous bhangraa pioneer, to create a unique performance of
Gazals, Bollywood greats and Qwali songs - a perfect trip down memory
lane and a great kick off for this years Mela main stage.

chance to hear the melodious sounds of a host of the freshest DJs,
