Bollywood's megastar, Amitabh Bachchan, is the hero of this dark thriller, the first feature film of leading ad film director Rakesh Mehra. The film has great art direction, a star cast and an unconventional plot inspired by Face Off. Security Chief Manu Verma (Amitabh Bachchan) is out to stop the evil Raghavan (Manoj Bajpai) from assassinating the Indian Defence Minister.

But Raghavan is successful, and India's Prime Minister becomes his next target, leading Manu to pursue the killer from Budapest to Bombay. Raghavan has all kinds of powers. Like an evil spirit he even returns from the dead and enters Manu's body, making the good cop do all his dirty deeds including raping Manu's own wife (played by the lovely Nandita Das of 'Fire' fame).
