Boom!, the latest offering by Ayesha Shroff which is described as "fashion world meets the underworld", is scheduled to launch at London's Leicester Square Cinema on 21st August. The movie has combined the talents of the Godfather of Indian Cinema (Amitabh Bachchan) with the leading lady of yesteryear (Zeenat Aman) and a host of photogenic heroes and Indian Supermodels to produce a film that is like "Snatch meets Charlie's Angels".

It is already billed as the must-see crossover film of 2003 with its dynamic storyline being mainly in English. Spectacular performances and stunning outfits by India's top international designers ensure that Boom is a slick, stylish, roller-coaster ride through Mumbai's chic fashion industry and notorious underworld. The film by groundbreaking director Kaizad Gustad bringins together an impressive international cast and crew including screen legends Amitabh Bachchan, Gulshan Grover, Jaaved Jaaferi and Jackie Shroff, and dramatic comeback by former Bollywood stunner Zeenat Aman. The film also features Indian supermodels Katrina Kaif, Padma Lakshmi and Madhu Sapre and Hollywood legend Bo Derek makes waves with a spectacular cameo appearance recreating her most famous scene from the film '10'.

THE STORY

A prestigious diamond-encrusted fashion show set against the amazing backdrop of the Gateway of India goes horribly wrong… a scuffle between the models breaks out on the catwalk revealing a hidden stash of smuggled diamonds stolen by notorious underworld criminals. Everyone clambers to snatch the loot. From then on it's a cat and mouse game between the gangsters and the models to get the antique diamonds back.

There are no heroes, or heroines, everyone is a villain trying to outwit each other. Boom is a larger than life, over the top, black comedy, neither arthouse, nor commercial, neither parallel nor Bollywood, Boom is all of the above, and yet retains its own individualistic flair and panache. If Hollywood was ever to meet Bollywood on its own turf, Boom would be it.

Produced by Ayesha Shroff of Quest Films, Boom is an action-packed, thrilling ride through the worlds of couture fashion, big money and the seedy underworld of Mumbai and Dubai with hilarious consequences. With a glamorous ensemble cast, Boom is certain to be one of the most successful crossover Asian films to date. The progressive soundtrack by Xlantic Music Group features original music by Mercury Award winning artist Talvin Singh, Sandeep Chowta and Rishi Rich amongst many others.
