The friendship between a successful cartoonist and a globetrotting acquaintance turns sour, but it seems as if destiny has bigger plans for them.

Hi my name is Karan. You might know me better as Saif Ali Khan. Anyway, I'm a successful cartoonist with one of India's leading newspapers, The Times of India, and my cartoon characters are called Hum & Tum (You & Us).

You know, ever since I can remember, I've always noticed that there are only two way to look at things - You and Us, or Men and Women. No countries, no religions, no borders or anything, simply Hum Tum and we're ALWAYS on the opposite sides.

Let me introduce you to the Tum in my life - Rhea - you may know her better as Rani Mukerji. Rhea and I have been meeting at various stages of our lives and as with all women in my life every meeting with Rhea has ended badly. The first time I met her in Amsterdam, we disagreed on everything so to put things right…well…I kind of kissed her. No prizes for guessing how that meeting ended…whammm…she's got a heavy hand when it lands on your face.

I met her again some 6 months later in New York. Well…let's just say she hadn't forgotten the Amsterdam kiss and spilled the beans to my…sort of steady girlfriend. That was the last time I saw my girlfriend so that meeting with Rhea was as bad as the first.

It's been 10 years since our first encounter and well…Rhea and I have become friends of sorts…I think. Rhea has gone through some personal tragedies in her life, lots of ups and downs, I haven't tried to kiss her ever again but I've been there for her.

In all this time Rhea has moved all over the place, from Bombay to Paris to New York and back and to Bombay. I've even tried to fix her up with a friend of mine…with her mothers permission…see I'm not such a bad guy, but as with everything else, this didn't quite work out either.

Meanwhile my career as a cartoonist was soaring and well…one thing lead to another and Rhea took off again…on a bad note.

You know what, I think destiny has bigger plans for us, why else would it keep throwing me and Rhea back together even though we always separate on a bad note? There's so much I want to say but never enough time. Hey I know what, why don't Hum Tum get together on the 28th of May…oh yeah and bring your Tum along too.
