ABOUT
THE EXHIBITION
New
Young Europeans is an exhibition about young people: some have never
questioned their right to call London their home, others are young
asylum seekers and refugees from all over the world. Encouraged
to talk about their hopes and ambitions, their personal testimonies
are exhibited alongside portraits by award-winning photographer
Carl Cordonnier. The exhibition shows young people who have a unique
contribution to make to their city and who share dreams that transcend
national and cultural boundaries.
The
exhibition has been devised and curated by British Council Brussels.
It has the backing of Ken Livingstone, Mayor of London, and Greater
London Authority, London House, in Brussels. ends
On

the exhibition will take part in a seminar at City Hall to discuss
issues raised by the project. Antonio Vitorino, European Commissioner
for Justice and Home Affairs, and Lee Jasper, Policy Director to
the Mayor, will attend the seminar.
