Reflections'
will launch their first art exhibition of Contemporary
Indian Masters in London at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
The exhibition will preview on Thursday 27th May
2004 and the show will continue till 30th May
2004. The Acting High Commissioner of India, Mr.
Satyabrata Pal, will officially open the event
on 27 May 2004.
The
exhibition will showcase select works of master and acclaimed artists
from the Indian sub-continent including: Aditya Basak, Akbar Paddamsee,
Akhilesh, Arpana Caur, Chandra Bhataacharjee, Dutta Bhansode, Ganesh
Haloi, JMS Mani, Laxma Goud, Madhav Satwalekar, Manu Parekh, PA
Dhond, Paritosh Sen, Partho Shaw, Prakash Karmakar, Rabin Mondal,
Ramanand Bandopadhya, Rameshwar Singh, Sadanand Barke, Saroj Gogi
Pal, Seema Ghurraya, Shyamal Dutta Roy, Somenath Maity, Suhas Bahulkar,
Suhas Roy, Sujata Achrekar, Sunil Das, Yashwant Shirwadkar, Apto
Bhattaccharya, Anandita Singh, Anjan Das, Arti Das, Jaspal Singh,
Patho Dutta, Sangeeta, Shyam Kanu Borthakur, Somit Gupta, Suman

REFLECTIONS
Art,
through the richness of colours, variety of subjects and nuances
of themes has had a significant and important influence on people.
These influences in turn have manifested themselves through the
splendid work produced by contemporary Indian artists today. These
artists are now being recognised internationally for their talent.
It
is the motivation behind showcasing this wealth of talent, that
"Reflections" was started. Our main aim is to bridge the
gap between boundaries and create a platform for this exquisite
art, bringing globally acclaimed artist as well as talented up and
coming artists to the United Kingdom.
"Reflections"
is co-founded by Abhilasha Mehta and Neha Sanghrajka.
