DJ SUKI

DJ Suki has a strict music policy - if it can move a crowd of people to dance, she'll play it. Being Asian but born in England, she grew up hearing a wide range of musical styles which naturally influences the music she plays to be a varied fusion of that old cliche "East-meets-West". However, because her family roots stretch back to India's Punjab region (the original home of Bhangra), she has a natural urge to choose music for its rhythm and dance floor potential, whatever its origin. The act of mixing two completely different types of music into one coherent sound also gives her the opportunity to play things not normally heard anywhere else. This, plus being obviously a female Asian DJ, puts her in a tiny minority.
