rapper Hard Kaur's whirlwind tour in India has brought her unique
hip- hop-meets-pop flavour to the masses. In her own inimitable
style, she launched her debut album to the rickshawallahs who got
her to and from performances. The 'Supawoman' album is launched
in the UK on 5 November 2007. The new video for her female anthem
'My Girls' on the Supawoman CD features a cameo by actress Meera
Syal, Lost Soldier, Sharifa, DJ Kayper & Sabrina.
The
Indian subcontinent welcomed Hard Kaur and her unique sound has
found its way across the entire continent from the tiniest Punjabi
town to the largest city. She has co-written the lead track 'Move
Your Body' from the forthcoming Gangster flick, 'Johnny Gadaar'
with Shanker, Ehsaan & Loy. Renowned for their string of multi
million grossing hits, their new age production and songwriting
has made them the musical architects behind India's biggest smashes
'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehena' 'Don', 'Salaam-E-Ishq', 'Jhoom Barabar
Jhoom' and 'Hey Babyyy'.
In
India, Hard Kaur also performed at this years MTV Fashion Awards
and provided a live soundtrack for the collection entitled 'Gangs'
by noted fashion designer Vikram Phadnis. She also signed a deal
with Café Coffee Day, India's equivalent to Starbucks and
her 'HardKaur Combo' will be available in all outlets from Delhi
to Mumbai, Pune to Bangalore.
Hard
Kaur's debut album 'Supawoman' is a culmination of almost a year
in the recording studioworking with international producers including
45Wax, D-Boy, Urban, A C Burrell, Asif and Tigerstyle. The new album
features 'Hype', 'My Girls' (with Lost Souljah, D J Kayper, Sharifa
and Sabrina), hip hop tracks like 'Smile', love songs 'Hey U' and
'Missing You' featuring Lane Gray. The reggae-meets-bhangra 'Supawoman'
featuring Cheshire Cat and the kitsch 'Bombay Deewana' have a sprinkling
of Indian flavour.
'Supawoman'
will be available to buy in the UK November 5th. The new video for
her female anthem 'My Girls' features a cameo by Meera Syal, Lost
Soldier, Sharifa, DJ Kayper & Sabrina.
