Panjabi
By Nature and Miss Pooja helped start the New Year by serving up
the massive track 'Aashiq' from the forthcoming 'Homegrown' album.
The reaction to the song has been amazing. Bhangra fans across the
country are becoming aashiqs of Panjabi By Nature's production and
can't seem to get enough of the playful lyrics and Miss Pooja's
bold performance. 'Aashiq'
is just the beginning of what is set to be a great Bhangra album.
Panjabi By Nature is
getting ready to release a number of tracks this year, with some
major collaborations and surprises in store. Next up it's the one
that everyone has really been waiting for. In the words of Panjabi
By Nature "this track is made for the dancefloor". Panjabi
By Nature has used his experiences of delivering infectious beats
and catchy hook lines to give you what is set to be a true party
anthem
'Dancefloor'.
The album 'Homegrown'
will be releasing via Limitless records on February 27th. The new
album also features Lembher Hussainpuri, Charanjit Channi, Sameera
and Apna Sangeet's K. S Bhamrah. This
time around Panjabi By Nature wanted to make the sound stronger
and revive the use of live instrumentation and the sounds of live
Bhangra bands.
The album features
some of India's finest classical sarangi, mandolin and flute players,
including the tumbi talents of K.S Bhamrah (the man behind the tumbi
sample in 'Mundia to bach ke'). Every track on the album has also
been laced with fresh breaking dhol, dholki and tabla rhythms played
by a number of percussionists from the UK's finest Bhangra bands.
About Panjabi by
Nature
PBN has been serving
up massive hits and been present in the UK Bhangra scene for quite
some years now. He started learning music production and engineering
from a young age via a number of local recording studios and through
working very closely with one of Beverley Knights music producers
Keith Dilworth.
When he felt that that
he had built up his skills, PBN took to producing and creating his
own music as well as DJing on the Bhangra gig circuit. DJing allowed
PBN to gain first hand experience of the types of music people enjoy
and what made party goers dance. This exposure proved valuable with
his future releases having gone on to be some of the biggest dancefloor
tracks ever.
PBN went on to collaborate
with one of the leading gig promotion companies of the time - Dhesi
Vibes, who later went on to form Limitless Records. In 2003, PBN
signed to Limitless Records and released his debut album titled
Next Episode. Following that, PBN released one of his
biggest chart topping albums to date titled Settin the Standard
in 2004. The headline track Nain Preeto De went
on to hold the number one spot for over four weeks on the BBC Asian
Network chart.
In 2005, PBN set up
his own recording studio in Wolverhampton and also release his third
solo album Ready or Not which delivered another
dancefloor hit Aaj Me Peeni. Since then PBN has gone
onto deliver more hits, working with other artists and releasing
massive collaborations.
Over the years he has
collaborated with the Industrys leading vocalists including
Lembher Hussainpuri, Surinder Shinda, Miss Pooja, Amar Arshi, Dippa
Dosanjh, K S Bhamrah, Balwinder Safri, Jeevan Maan amongst others.
PBNs music has also taken him all over the world including
performances in Norway, India, Dubai, Germany and America.
As well as spending
time preparing huge beats and dancefloor tracks, PBN also spends
some time giving back to his local community by working with young
people in and around the West Midlands. Having spent over 2 years
teaching production techniques and offering support and guidance
to up and coming artists from various music genres, PBN is definitely
helping shape not just the Bhangra scene but also the Midlands music
scene.
