KPMG Asian Festivals Dinner 2009

L-R: Founder of Redhotcurry.com, Lopa Patel with Nina Amin of KPMG.KPMG, one of the 'Big Four' accountancy and audit firms in the UK, hosted a celebration of Asian Festivals on Thursday 22 October 2009 at The Waldorf Hilton, London. The Right Hon. Keith Vaz MP gave the keynote speech,highlighting the considerable value that Britain's Asian-owned businesses have added to the economy of the UK, but also urging guests to participate more in the public and corporate sector in Britain. Guests at the dinner included many of the wealthiest Asians in the UK: George Jatania of Lornamead, Bhikhu Patel of Waymade, Kirti Patel of Goldshield Group plc, Rami Ranger MBE of Sun Oil, Ramniklal Solanki and his sons Sailesh and Kalpesh Solanki from the Asian Media Group, Mayank Patel of The Azibo Group (incl Currencies Direct), Ketan and Tuhina Mehta of pharmaceutical wholesaler Necessity Supplies and a host of well-known Asian business people. Also in attendance were Lord Navnit Dholakia and Barry Gardiner MP.
