About
Madhu's
Proud
to be a family run business, Madhu's has been at the heart of the
Anand family for four generations. It all began in Nairobi, Kenya
where Bishan Das Anand opened the legendary Brilliant Hotel and
established himself as a successful name in the industry. Inspired
by the work of their grandfather, Madhu's Brilliant was opened in
1980 by Sanjay and Sanjeev Anand aged 17 and 16 respectively. The
name 'Madhu's' was derived from the nickname of their father Jagdish
Kumar Anand. Their mother Krishna Kumari Anand, also the Head Chef,
was instrumental in the success of Madhu's Brilliant. In 2004 the
company was re-branded and changed its name to 'Madhu's'.
It
wasn't long before a fourth generation Anand joined the board of
director when Sanjay's son Arjun followed in his father's footsteps
and brought to the business all the vigour and talent of a true
Anand. Today Madhu's is one of the top-ranking South Asian catering
firms in the UK and is a supplier to department stores Harrods and
Harvey Nichols. Sanjay
Anand was honoured with an MBE in 2007 for his services to the hospitality
industry and has recently been appointed Brand Ambassador for Jaguar.
