ALLAH MADE ME FUNNY

November sees the return of Allah Made Me Funny: The Official Muslim Comedy Tour to Scotland. Perhaps now more then ever is this unique comedy night significant to Scotland. With the country still reeling from the 30 June 2007 attack on Glasgow International Airport now is the time for a refreshing brand of comedy that smashes through Muslim stereotypes. Starting gently with the belief that those who follow Islam are just not funny people, "serious types", moving on to the hilarious side of harsh as they debunk and counterattack the more harebrained myths.

The 'Allah Made Me Funny' tour was founded in 2004 by Preacher Moss and Azhar Usman with a clear goal in mind: "The concept of this tour is to make a comprehensive effort to provide effective, significant, and appropriate comedy with an Islamic perspective, which is both mainstream and cross-cultural. The idea is to provide a venue whereby Muslims and non-Muslims can feel safe, relevant, and inclusive of an experience where humour is used to bridge gaps of bias, intolerance, and other social ills that are pre and post 9/11 relevant" says Preacher Moss, co-founder, and one of the featured comedians on the tour.

Since launching in 2004 the tour has performed hundreds of shows across the globe - from the US to Europe, Asia to Australia and New Zealand. Drawing interest and praise from cultural and religious organisations Worldwide and attracting significant media attention.
