'Beta Mast Kalandar: The Vagabond Son' is a hilarious comedy play on Asian life and values presented in Punjabi. Mukhtar (Mike to his friends) dreams of being an actor and getting an Equity card but is really a spoilt brat. Enter, Rano, the fresh off the boat belle to whom Mukhtar is wed. She arrives in London with her dad to claim her rights as a wife and soon a riot of fun ensues. The story is set around two families: one sophisticated and one rustic and portrays in a light hearted and incisive way what each has to offer the other.
