The original Configurations was widely celebrated for its bravura use of speed and stunning detail. Revisiting and reimagining it, Jeyasingh gives a glimpse into the beginning of her company's life and an insight into an inspirational collaboration between choreographer and composer captured in an hour-long Channel 4 TV documentary at the time. Nyman's music for Configurations became his acclaimed String Quartet No. 2 and will be played live on stage. New designs by Lucy Carter (lighting) and Ursula Bombshell (costume) complete the picture.

In the new work (as yet untitled) Jeyasingh turns for the first time to the dramatic genre of classical Indian dance, playing with ideas of character and story telling. She collaborates with composer Niraj Chag, a key modern interpreter of Asian classical and folk styles whose work has been described as ‘resembling prayer in its power’.
