deciBelxtrax - Performing Arts Showcase 2005

Building on the success of the first performing arts showcase in May 2003, decibel and xtrax present a second showcase of the most exciting theatre, dance, music, and live art by artists of African, Asian and Caribbean descent based in England. This year's showcase promises to deliver an equally outstanding selection of work, with more than 40 artists and companies presenting a dynamic mix of live performances over four days. This unique event is one of the calendar highlights of the decibel project. It provides a much-needed platform for performers to present work to programmers and producers: the 2003 showcase was highly successful in attracting over 400 delegates from five continents, resulting in increased bookings for the participating companies, and several national tours booked solely as a result of this opportunity.
