Leading British Indian dance company Angika present their latest collaboration, 'Ether', featuring the creative talents of composer-duo Midival Punditz (their music featured in the films 'Monsoon Wedding' and 'Closer') and lighting designer Aideen Malone.

ETHER

Angika's latest creating focuses on the Indian philosophy of Ether, or 'Akasa', the invisible vehicle of life and sound that fills the universe. In this metaphysical piece Angika engage the powerful rhythmic element of Bharatnatyam with lyrical stillness, to connect with the flow of this subtle force. The geometrical abstraction and physical dynamics of their dance will sculpt the space to evoke a sense of the eternal and the infinite.

URBAN TEMPLE

Angika will also be performing 'Urban Temple', a piece commissioned by the Royal Festival hall during the company's one-week residency in 2003.
