Patiala Junction, featuring a cast of six actors and a baby, is a comedy with Punjabi Songs and Bhangra dances, written by Gurdip Kaur Chaudhary & directed by Jitender Singh of Matribhoomi Theatre Company. Set in the princely city of the Punjab, home town of many eminent personalities, including, singer, Gurdas Mann, cricketer, Navjot Sidhu and Bollywood actor, Jimmy Shergill, its present resident, Patiala Singh, is one embittered and miserly man, who wishes to live like a King, without spending a penny.

Patiala Singh lives in his home, Patiala Junction, and enjoys drinking, Patiala Pegs – those unusually large measures of whisky much favoured by Punjabis and originated from the hedonistic lifestyle enjoyed by the late Maharaja Bhupinder Singh (who ruled from1900-1938).

Patiala Singh wants to be the King of Patiala but on other people's money. He dreams of money while walking, talking and sleeping. Relationships mean nothing to him as he is only interested in his money and living life to the full. Then one fine day someone steals all his money and Patiala Singh's life is shattered…..!
