The greatest living South Asian dancer in the world - Pt. Birju Maharaj, with leading exponents of Kathak (North Indian Classical Dance) Pratap Pawar and Saswati Sen will be performing 'Legacy of Tradition'.

This promises to be an evening displaying the thrilling rhythmic aspect of Kathak through expression, story telling, an innovative, creative and contemporary approach within traditional boundaries.

Kathak is a style of dance that has developed over the centuries, originally from the temples and thence through the Hindu & Moghul courts. Depicting subtle movements of the torso, graceful and dynamic gestures and culminating in fast pirouettes.
