'RUINS' - Anurekha Ghosh & Company

Anurekha Ghosh & Company present a ravishing display of North Indian Kathak dance, modern dance and music, which is both beautiful and mesmerising. Celebrated choreographers, from Ghosh herself to Shobana Jeyasingh, investigate the different aspects of the state of ruin in the world. A celebration of hope and existence, Ruins explores the struggles of the familiar with the unknown. In this dynamic and theatrical piece, a passionate relationship is created between dance, film, sets, sculpted lighting and music composed by Jayita Pandey, Glyn Perrin and others, capturing an ambitious mix of Indian and Western elements.
