TV LAUNCHES ACROSS EUROPE

STAR
TV has announced the launch of their channels STAR Plus, STAR One
and STAR Gold across continental Europe (excluding the UK and The
Republic of Ireland) on the WorldTV platform. WorldTV, a subsidiary
of content management and delivery company, GlobeCast, is the leading
aggregator and distributor of international television and radio
programming in America.
The
service currently delivers more than 210 market-leading television
and radio channels in 35 languages representing 42 countries from
Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa, via Direct-to-Home satellite
on Galaxy 25. WorldTVs expansion into Continental Europe securing
distribution rights for some of South Asias leading entertainment
channels, promises to give it a strong start in the challenging
South Asian pay TV market.
In
speaking about STARs launch in Europe via the WorldTV platform,

For
six consecutive years, STAR Plus has been dominating Hindi television
entertainment as Indias No.1 cable channel. South Asian audiences
in Europe will now be able to enjoy the same top STAR Plus programmes
their family and friends are watching back home. Household-name
dramas such as 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' and 'Kahaani Ghar
Ghar Kii' as well as a host of compelling comedies, game shows,
serials, talk shows, lifestyle and kids programmes make up STAR
Pluss highly popular line-up.

One has an array of popular content including hits such as Indias
best comic talent search show 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge',
the all dancing show 'Nach Baliye', the new series of the popular
chat show 'Koffee With Karan' and the sensational singing show 'Antakshari'.
STAR
Gold brings to audiences Bollywood blockbusters and remains one
of Indias favourite movie channels. STAR Gold has acquired
the exclusive rights to televise Bollywood blockbusters like 'Don'
starring the inimitable Shah Rukh Khan, 'Baabul' which entered the
UK Box Office Charts at number 8, 'Krrish' which made Hrithik Roshan
a super hero and the BAFTA nominated 'Rang De Basanti'.
