EOC Graduate Pay Research - Summary

Summary of early findings of the EOC's graduate pay research. Male graduates in full-time employment earn more than their female counterparts on average even when:

• they have studied the same subjects;
• they have achieved the same class of degree;
• they work in the same occupations;
• they are employed in the same industries.

It also shows that:

• male graduates are more likely than female graduates to be positive about their current employment conditions and opportunities;
• there is a bigger income advantage for women in earning a degree than for men.
