Islamophobia looks at the extent of hostility towards island through personal stories, and at the urgent questions raised about religion, society, freedom and personality.

Islamophobia also features an interview with an American Muslim who became a prime suspect for the Oaklahoma City bombing in April 1995 prior to the arrest of Timothy McVeigh. On the day of the attack, he had flown from the city and was stopped by the authorities when he arrived in London. He was forced to return to the US for questioning. There was no evidence of his guilt, but his name was leaked to the press and wife and children found their home besieged both by the media and angry locals.

This film is a timely reminder of ho ignorance and prejudice can fuel anger and mistrust between communities.
