HINDU
COMMUNITY CENTRE RECEIVES DIVINE BLESSINGS
(2 June 2005)
On
Thursday 2nd June 2005, on day of 'Ekadasi' - the day for ones own
'Guru' - Hindu high priest, Pujya Bhai Shri Rameshbhai Oza, made
a historic visit to Milton Keynes to bless the newly proposed Hindu
Community Centre and Elders Scheme. The Milton Keynes Hindu Association
(MKHA) have successfully secured a large parcel of land and been
granted full planning permission for the development.
The
special visit to the land was marked with Bhai Shri performing the
Pushpa Vrishti blessing ceremony and by planting a special tree.
The name of the tree being, ' The Pride of India'. Kapil Dudakia,
Vice President of MKHA said, 'Hindus in Milton Keynes have worked
hard to come this far, we have secured the land, we have secured
full detailed planning permission for the Hindu Community Centre
and also the Elders Scheme, now we have the blessings of Bhai Shri
as well - it is now upon all Hindus to come forward and help us
to make this vision a reality. I have no doubt that very soon this
will be realised'.
Towards
the end of the programme, Bhai Shri said to the whole audience that
he had taken steps on the land and had blessed the project to establish
the first Hindu Community Centre and Elder Scheme in Milton Keynes.
He wanted every Hindu to support this incredible project and looked
forward to the day when it was completed and he could come again.
Ramesh
Kallidai the Secretary General of Hindu Forum said, 'MKHA never
cease to amaze me, for a small Hindu community with no facilities
whatsoever, they somehow manage to put together events that are
of a professional standard. What a wonderful programme, Bhai Shri
gave a beautiful discourse with so much for us all to take heed
of, I go away today with fond memories and cannot wait to come back
again'. The organising team at MKHA had made sure that Bhai Shri
had the best conditions in which the 'pravachan' could be delivered,
that devotees would be comfortable and have wonderful darshan. Congratulations
to MKHA for a job well done. Now it is time for Hindus around the
country to support you in your fantastic project to build the Community
Centre."
