Specifically
targeted at the UK Asian community, the 'Move Your Mind' forum is
now set to launch in Manchester at The Lowry Hotel on Tuesday 25
April 2006. Speakers at the inaugural event included former England
Cricket Captain Nasser Hussain, Actress Meera Syal, Novelist Preethi
Nair, TV Presenter Sonia Deol and Restaurateur Zahid Kasim. Nasser
Hussain and Preethi Nair will travel to the Manchester launch and
will be joined by TV Presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy and entrepreneurs
Nighat Awan OBE and Vikas Shah.
Pioneered
by Parveen Batish, General Manager of Sales and Marketing Strategy
at Saab Great Britain Ltd, 'The Move Your Mind' Forums are a series
of innovative and forward-looking gatherings, bringing together
exceptional people from the British Asian communities to debate,
provoke and network.

means that we can now move to the North West and launch in Manchester.
Conceived with the British Asian Community in mind, we hope that
these forums will provide a dynamic platform for the exchange of
inspiring ideas and experiences."
Each
'Move Your Mind' Forum consists of a panel of four 'Mind Mentors'
- a mix of leaders in their fields. Those speaking at the Manchester
event are:
Each
'Move Your Mind' Forum begins with a 10-minute positive and inspirational
talk by the Mind Mentors, before the discussion turns to topics
put forward by members of the audience. Networking takes place over
drinks before the forum begins and the discussions will be followed
by further drinks and a buffet dinner.

approximately 6.30pm to 10.30pm.

note that applicants will be asked to log a provoking statement
or a thoughtful topic and will be included in the Forum debate.
All discussion suggestions submitted by applicants for tickets will
also be published on the above website. Please note that guests
without tickets will unfortunately not be able to be admitted to
