HINDUS URGE CITY BONUS WINNERS TO FAST FOR CHARITY

With City bonuses rising again this year The City Hindus Network is asking all its members to fast for lunch, donating an equivalent amount to charity on Friday 2nd February 2007 (Poonam). The network was founded in late 2005 with the aim of increasing unity amongst professional Hindu's and to promote the education of Sanatan Dharma and sewa activity. Commenting on the initiative by City Hindus Network, Sanjay Jagatia (from Sewa International UK) said "We are delighted that City Hindus Network has chosen Sewa International as the recipient of the funds that they will raise for this event"

As part of an initiative to promote sewa, The City Hindus Network will be organising and participating in such events regularly to raise money for different charities. Sanjay Jagatia added, "the values enshrined in the teachings from the ancient Hindu Scriptures state that: "The Whole World is One Family". This expresses Sewa International's mission and philosophy of - Service, Charity and Compassion. However, Sewa is not mere compassion or charity towards another; it is worship of the Lord. Nar-Sewa is Narayan Sewa - Service to Humanity is Service to God".
