First ever South Asian books survey for the UK

The DSC South Asian Literature Festival (SALF) and the UK's leading book trade magazine, The Bookseller, are inviting the book trade and consumers-alike to participate in one of the first full-scale surveys of the South Asian books market in the UK, the results of which could bring about a significant shift in the mind-set of the UK book industry. The survey examines book reading and buying habits in general, as well as engagement with books that have South Asian influences, characters, subjects or settings, and which are written in or translated into English. South Asia in this context is Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Participants will be entered into a prize draw, with a first prize of £100 worth of National Book Tokens, and 4 runners-up prizes of £25 worth of National Book Tokens. The survey is being conducted by BML, an independent research agency, and closes on 10th November 2010.
