ALIYE CORNISH

Viola player Aliye Cornish may be just 22 years old but she’s already played a principal role in the orchestras at the Royal College of Music, the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra and the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, as well as touring to Poland and Switzerland with the Turner Quintet.

“She plays the viola with an infectious enthusiasm and charm,” comments Jonathan Barritt, professor at the Royal College of Music. But Cornish is no onetrick pony. She’s been involved in projects with songwriters and has worked as a session musician recording music for short films.
