From an early age, Kiran Bali has devoted a great deal of her spare time to carrying out voluntary work in both the local community and worldwide as the United Nations' youngest ambassador for World Peace. Kiran has become a leading representative of the Hindu community and works tirelessly to promote interfaith relations.

Her voluntary work includes student mentoring, advising the Local Education Authority on Hindu issues, lecturing at schools, colleges and universities and serving the social and welfare needs of the local elderly South Asian community through the South Asian Seniors Brotherhood, a charitable organisation which she founded.

Kiran became the youngest ever Chairman of the Huddersfield Interfaith Council and led the organisation between 2005 and 2006. Kiran is also the youngest magistrate on the Huddersfield Bench and works as a member of the Police Ethnic Minority Liaison Forum for West Yorkshire.

Kiran has won an extensive list of awards and accolades for voluntary work and in her spare time likes to relax by teaching karate, for which she has achieved a black belt, as well as Indian dancing, singing and acting. She has performed in many amateur plays in Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu and English and also hosts regular Bhangra and Bollywood classes.
