Permjeet Saini, 41, The Claremont Group, Edgbaston

Having had a successful career as a solicitor, Perm Saini began investing in residential property in 1996 and within two years had built up a portfolio of 45 properties around Birmingham.

In 1998 Perm joined forces with her brother, Manjit Deol, with the goal of expanding the business across the UK and specialising in acquiring residential properties for private investors. In 1999 they founded The Claremont Group and six years on the firm has more than 1000 private investment partners together with its own extensive property bank that is valued at more than £10million.

In September 2005, Perm Saini's business made the headlines when it purchased 140 apartments and 6 penthouses comprising half of the apartments in Birmingham's iconic Rotunda. The £27million deal was the largest single transaction that Claremont has ever completed and consolidated the firm's position as one of the fastest growing property investment companies in the UK.

The company has since expanded to include properties in Cyprus, Dubai and Spain and is continually evolving to maintain its position amongst the UK's top property investment companies.
