DR RABINDER BUTTAR

Ten years ago, when Dr Rabinder Buttar was running clinical research firm ClinTec from her house while looking after her two young sons, she never would have guessed it would reach the heady heights of today. The Glasgow-based business now employs 200 people, provides specialist clinical consultancy to pharmaceutical and biotech companies in 30 countries and is set hit the £10m turnover mark this year.

And that’s not all. As well as helping to improve the future of cancer therapy by developing new treatments, Buttar has rubbed shoulders with Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling on a trade mission to India and is chalking out plans for a major foray into drug development in Bangalore.
