TEJI SINGH

Teji SinghBesotted with Bollywood? You can thank Teji Singh’s international communications agency Sterling Media for the global boom in Indian cinema. The industry is now worth a massive £200m in the UK, and Sterling Media boasts some stellar clients on its books, including Shilpa Shetty and Aishwarya Rai.

Singh is not a stranger to being at the forefront of growth industries: in 1990 she helped set up the UK’s first Asian satellite channel, TV Asia, as well as being its head news anchor. From a modest starting point, Singh was a fundamental contributor to TV Asia’s growth into a global media brand, now called Zee TV.

Ready to master her next professional challenge, Singh set up Sterling Media. Thirteen years on, it has become a world-recognised name and has been nominated as one of the UK’s top 150 PR agencies. It also has some pretty impressive campaigns under its belt – from Make Poverty History and Live 8 to the Asian Business Awards and STAR TV.
