MPCL WEEKLY RESULTS

Greetings! Cricket Lovers

The outstanding performance of the day came from Anson's Mohammed Abid Javed who scored 157 against Kondor. Sixteen cricket balls were lost in the process as Anson totalled 287. Undaunted by the task, Dipak Singh (92) lead the way for Kondor, however they fell short by 12 runs as they finished on 276-9 in 40 overs.

In division one, the bowlers were in command. Neasden's Rakesh Patel still retains all his bowling potency despite a serious eye injury last season. Rakesh returned figures of 8-2-9-4 as Neasden skittled out top of the table Embassy for 86 after putting up a modest 162-9 as a target. Sai have gone top of the table following their fourth victory, this time against Rajput Samaj. Rajput's Bharat Patel returned figures of 8-2-7-3 as they restricted Sai to 115, however Rajput fell short of their target by 5 runs in a tense finish. Bharat Bhanderi (8-3-8-3) bowled SKLP to victory against Lankians who now prop up the foot of the division one table. Akash Christian scored 101no for West Harrow as they recorded their first league win against North London Drifters.

In the rest of the league there were mixed fortunes. The game between Sri Lankian Cavaliers and Express was unable to progress as Warren Farm became unavailable due to police advice to council. EKTA ended up forfeiting their encounter with Dharmaj after they were stuck in traffic due to Chelsea celebrations. New comers QCS London paid the price of failing to register sufficient players in time, thus ended up conceding their game against Sayona. United Sports recorded their first league win of the season with a 5 run win over Magenta Security.
