Greetings! Cricket Lovers Lankians have gone back to the top of division one following their 70 run victory against Neasden. Razlin Sirajudeen after negotiating early movement and tidy bowling hit 6 sixes and 14 fours on his way to career best 123 not out. Majeed Butt and Razlin put on an unbroken 7th wicket partnership of 78 in 8.2 overs as Lankians finished on 293-6 in 40 overs. Neasden lost 3 wickets within 10 overs for 53 runs. Brijesh Patel (Jnr) took the attack to Lankians with 108no, however only Nayan Patel (46) provided any support as he ran out of partners. Bowling honors for Lankians went to Majeed Butt, who bowled well under pressure to take 4-40 as Neasden were bowled out for 223. Harpreet Singh made 205 for Neasden II against United Sports II in their total of 367 for 4 which allowed Neasden II to secure a win to lift division 1 2nd XI competition. Nabeel Khalid made 96 for United Sports II in the same game. Pratik Patel took 6-34 for Rajput Samaj against Stanmore Jaffrey's in the latter's total of 149. Juma Abbas made 64 for Stanmore Jaffrey's. Veteran keeper Dilipsinh Jadeja than smashed 84no and with Jesal Rathod making 55no, Rajput were home in 23.2 overs. Digant Popat took 5-12 for Lohana as they defeated Kingsbury Construction; the latter now need to secure at least 6 points in their last fixture against Bharat Olympians to win division 2. West Harrow maintained their slim chance of promotion by defeating Magenta Security. Bhavesh Vyas took 5-18 and Prashant Ajitsaria 3-21 for Anson as they bowled out Bharat Olympians for 151. Hitesh Goswami (55no) and Kirit Chhanaira (50) than ensured Anson reached their target with comfort. Anson play West Harrow in the last game of the season needing 5 points to win promotion. Kondor secured promotion to division 2 by defeating Capital by 147 runs and need just 2 points from their last game against 2nd placed Dharmaj to go up as champions. Zakir Hussain (108), Vipul Patel 965) and Ahshan Ullah (54) from EKTA helped them to make 298-5 against Ramgharia. Jayesh Patel took 5-27 for EKTA as Ramgharia were all out for 170. United Sports defeated Youth Wing to keep an outside chance of promotion if Dharmaj and EKTA failed to secure wins. Young Lion's easy 8 wicket win over Sayona ensured their promotion to division 3in their first season in the league. Winners of the Sayona and Young Puthoharis in the last game of the season will be assured of promotion, whilst Regency have to defeat Young Lions for promotion. Darshan Depala took 4-13 and made 82 in Indiana's win over Regency. |
