MPCL WEEKLY RESULTS

Greetings! Cricket Lovers

Lankians continued their good start to the season by casting aside the challenge of Rajput Samaj. Batting first, Lankians hit 16 sixes in their total of 279-6 in 40 overs with major contributions from Sankalpa Gunasekara (66), Suranga Daluwatta (66) and Sujith Kumarasinghe (49. Suranga Daluwatta scored his 50 in 23 balls including 7 sixes. Rajput Samaj started their run chase flying to 50 runs in 5 overs but good spin bowling of Priyankara Perera (3-23) and Suranga Daluwatta (2-27) restricted them for 149 all out. Embassy were skittled out for 59 by newly promoted Sri Lankian Cavaliers with Nabel Shah chipping in with 4-18; SLC knocked off the runs in under 10 overs. North London Drifters posted a challenging 184 against Neasden with Akbar Shah top scoring with 66. Neasden has reached 126-6 in 32.5 overs and needed more than six runs an over when heavy rain prevented any further play as the game was abandoned.

One point separates West Harrow, Muktajivan and Anson in division 2. West Harrow defeated local rivals Lohana by 40 runs. Sanjay Trivedi (4-17) and Mikhil Patel (35no) took the honors for West Harrow. Kingsbury Construction were limited to 127-9 in 40 overs against Anson with Hitesh Goswami taking 3-11 and Bhavesh Vyas 2-8. Darren Mathura made 52 as Anson coasted home by 4 wickets. Games between Bharat Olympians and Welldon and Mukatjivan against Magenta Security were victims of weather.

In division 3, United Sports, Dharamaj and Kondor are all still undefeated after the second group of matches. Naresh Patel made 48 in United Sports total of 141 against Centurions; the latter were restricted to 79 as Imran Ismail 3-18 and Dilshan Singh Sidhu 3-25 ensured a United victory. Dharmaj completed a second easy 9 wicket win against Capital as they were indebted to Sebastian Anthony's 42no and Nirav Mehta's 3-20. Kondor recorded as easy 93 run win against EKTA, whilst the day's highest score of 68no by Anish Shah ensured a Youth Wing win against Ramgharia. In the latter game Harkirat Sohal made 60 for Ramgharia and Jagdish Patel (Senior) took 4-19 for Youth Wing. In Division 4, newcomers Indiana made a winning start against Young Puthoharis. Dewar Aziz made 47 in Young Puthoharis total of 125 with Mukesh Depala taking 3-28. Indiana reached their target for the loss of 5 wickets and 14 overs to spare.
