Greetings! Cricket Lovers Lankians remained top of division 1 with a comfortable win against current champions Neasden. Neasden were bowled out for 148 with skipper Lankian skipper Sujith Kumarasinghe taking 4-26. Suranga Daluwatta 55no and Sankalpa Gunasakara 49 no ensured that Lankians were home safely. Sri Lankian Cavaliers remain in hot pursuit following their demolition of North London Drifters by 10 wickets with Rasitha Madanayake 75no and Duminda Abeyatunga 46no sharing an unbroken opening stand; earlier in the day Nabel Shah and Sanjeev Korala had both chipped in with 3 wickets apiece. Rajput Samaj registered their first league win against Stanmore Jaffreys thanks to Pratik Patel 3-21, Nilesh Patel 3-30, Niraj Desai 3-33 as the latter were bowled out for 133. Nilesh than continued his good form as he contributed 57 with the bat. Muntazir Kanji took 5-19 for Stanmore, however this wasn't enough as Rajput Samaj got home by 1 wkt. In division 2, Muktajivan enjoyed a 8 wicket win against Welldon to remain top of the table. Kingsbury Construction made a good recovery after been reduced to 79 for 7 by Lohana. Patient partnership of 53 between Vinod Bhanderi (39)& Suresh Gopal (21no) allowed them to finish on 132 for 8. Pravin Vagdia & Vinod Bhanderi then bowled brilliantly, taking 4 wickets each, to knock over Lohana for 77 runs in 25.3 overs. West Harrow' s low score of 161 proved enough against Magenta Security after an all round performance from Alpesh Patel; he scored 29 not out and took 4 wickets. In fielding 15 year old Dhruv Patel took two excellent catches and a direct hit run out, resulting in West Harrow winning by 53 runs. Bharat Olympian skipper Syed Shah took 5-15 in their 58 run win against Anson. Dharmaj remain on top of division 3 with a convincing performance against Ramgharia. Tejas Mehta (65) and Mayur Patel (63) helped them post 231 despite a 6-31 from the Ramgharia skipper Aman Sandhu. Ramgharia were bowled out for 104. Kondor maintained their unbeaten league run with a narrow 14 run win against United Sports; Jitu Patel of United Sports took 2-27. Centurion remain near the foot of the table following their defeat against Youth Wing in a very low scoring game. Vipul Patel of EKTA made 61 in their 8 run win over Capital. The Young Puthoharis / Young Lions game was closely contested match. with Young Lions scoring steadily for the first 20 overs at around 4 an over and then pushing the run rate up in the last 20 overs. Useful contributions from Nishil Tanna (75) and Aryuat Patel (59) allowed them to finish on 220 for 6. Young Puthoharis chased well and were always in touch with, or above, the required rate and managed to reach the required runs in 35.1 overs. Neasden II have gone top of the 2nd XI table following their win over United Sports II. Amit Chawla (3-32) and Dipesh Patel (4-19) helped dismish United for 119. Neasden II easily chased down their target with Pankaj Patel making 60. |
