Greetings! Cricket Lovers Lankians compiled a record 1st division total of 369-8 declared in 39 overs against Stanmore Jaffrey's. Lankians lost a wicket in the first over of the match. Priyankara Perera and Suranga Daluwatta put on 223 runs for the 2nd wicket in 23 overs. Priyankara Perera retired on109 not out. Suranga Daluwatta (123) scored his first 50 runs in 27 balls and got his hundred in 71 balls. Raslin Sirajudeen produced a very aggressive fast bowling spell to take 6 wickets for 47 runs as Stanmore were restricted to 193 in 40 overs. Sri Lankan Cavaliers closed the gap on Lankians by taking full 20 points against Rajput Samaj. SLC made 278 for 8 with Pasan Weeraratne 93 and Osama Dar 59. Rajput made a brave attempt as Partik Patel made 71; however they were all out for 235. In the division two match between the leaders Muktajivan and Kingsbury Construction, the match was won by the Kingsbury bowlers. Kingsbury were restricted to 140, however a key performance from Vinod Bhanderi (4-17) ensured the Muktajivan fell 19 runs short of the target. Chaminda Mudalige was the Lohana hero in their first league win of the season against Magenta Security. Chaminda (3-23) and Dignant (3-23) helped in bowling out Magenta for 131 and than the former made 55 to secure a 5 wicket win for Lohana. Hitesh Goswami (75) and Jagjit Singh (48no) were instrumental in Anson's 130 run win against Welldon. West Harrow's senior players Kanu Rao (42) and Alpesh Patel (4-15) and youngster Mikhil Patel (3-7) took the honors in their comfortable 73 run win over Bharat Olympians. Ramgharia's Tanuj Danee made 91 and took 3-39 in their match against EKTA; however the latter still managed to secure a 23 run win. United Sports Jignesh Patel made 61 in their win against Youth Wing, whilst Kondor's Narendra Patel made 73 and took 4-36 in their comfortable win over Capital. In division 4, Suraj made 266-7 in 40 overs against Young Lions with Amit Patel 94 and Nakul Patel 59. Although Rajiv Tanna responded with 113 and a useful 77 from Niraj Rughani contributed to their target, Young Lions fell short by 28 runs. Regency remained unbeaten in division 4 matches thanks to their easy win over Sayona. Hussain Kateriwala took 1-4. |
