MATCH REPORT FOR 5 AUGUST 2007

Hitesh Goswami made 78 for Anson in their total of 185-8 in 40 overs against league leaders Embassy. Ali Haider put on a one man show as he took 4-22 and than responded with 83 Embassy's reply of 178 all out. Hitesh Goswami took a hat-trick in his 3-30.

Rajput Samaj won the dress rehearsal for the cup final against Sri Lankan Cavaliers; the latter could only manage 178-7 in 40 overs with useful contributions from Roshan Fernando 55, Numan Jayasena 45 and Duminda Abeytunga 40. Rajput batsman led by Partik Patel 61 eased passed the total with 14 balls and 5 wickets to spare.

Neasden suffered another set back with a defeat of 147 runs at the hands of Kingsbury Construction. Batting first, Kingsbury Construction posted 267-7 in 40 overs with Prakash Nardani and Vinod Bhanderi making 77 and 50no respectively. When Neasden batted, Gaurav Shiani took centre stage with 6-39 as Neasden were bowled out for 120. Stanmore Jaffrey's are relegated following their failure to play their latest fixture against Lankians.

Rishi Koetcha (66 and 3-18) led Kondor from the front as they maintained their winning ways in defeating Welldon by 76 runs. Abhijeett Sudriik 62no was the highlight in West Harrow's 5 wicket win over Bharat Olympians. Lohana seem doomed for relegation following their 7th league defeat of the season, this time at the hands of Magenta Security. Dharmaj posted 229-9 in 40 overs against Muktajivan with Tejas Metha 63 leading the way. Muktajivan were unable to keep up with the required run rate and eventually fell 31 runs short of their target.

United Sports brought to an end Indiana's unbeaten league run; however the latter remain on top of the table in division 3. Indiana posted 185-9 in 40 overs. United Sports led by Rohan Salvi's 85no eased to a 3 wkt win with more than 3 overs to spare. Mohammed Akberally made 81 for Sayona in their 25 run win over EKTA, whilst Rana Kashif made 75 for Young Puthoharis in their 57 run victory over the Young Lions.

In the 2nd XI competition, Shivam's Anil Dauji 75no and Dharmendra Vaja 65 who retired injured were the principal stars in their 202 run win over Neasden II. South Harrow posted 199 against Rajput Samaj II with Imran Khan top scoring on 54. In their reply, Rajput Samaj II fell 6 short of the target as South Harrow skipper Chaminda Kuruppu took 4-31
