MATCH REPORT FOR 2 SEPTEMBER 2007 Lankians defeated a weakened Kingsbury Construction side to retain their position in division one, whilst the recent decline in Neasden performances continued and they will now start 2008 season in division 2. Priyankara Perera of Lankians took 6-13 as Kingsbury Construction were shot out for 84. Sujith Kumarasinghe than made 19no as Lankians reached 85-4 in 24.4 overs. Neasden who needed maximum 20 points made only 162 against Sri Lankan Cavaliers with Nayan Patel making 59. Sri Lankan Cavaliers led by Muditha Coorey made light work in reaching their target with 6 wickets in hand. Anson defeated Rajput to secure runners up spot in division 1 following their return to the top division this season. Champions Embassy had no game. The battle to decide division 2 champions was won by West Harrow who only suffered one league defeat all season. Their were no major performances in the match between Kondor and West Harrow, however West Harrow always had the upper hand and finished off the season with a 4 wicket win. Kondor as runners who have never played in the top division since the league was established in 1992 will have that opportunity in 2008 season. Lohana defeated Muktajivan by 5 wickets in their best performance of the season. Dharmaj lost to Bharat Olympians, however retain their status in the division due to superior batting run rate per over for the whole season. Ramya Udaypa made 95 in Welldon's win over Magenta Security. In division 3, Indiana crushed Regency by bowling them out for 44 and than reaching their target in 8 overs; Indiana have now won promotion 2 years in a row. United Sports lead by 56 from Jignesh Patel secured runners up position by beating Young Lions. EKTA signed off the season with a win over Youth Wing in which Alkesh Solanki made 75no for them whilst Aval Patel chipped in with 61no for Youth Wing. Young Puthoharis finished 3rd in the division following their 77 run win over Sayona. Shivam will be promoted to division 3 following their crowing as champions following the resounding win against Rajput Samaj 2nd XI. Shivam made 241-8 in 40 overs with Bhavyesh Cantilal (63) and Darmesh Cantilal (52) making useful contributions. Kishor Deuji took 4-21 as Rajput Samaj 2nd XI collapsed to 56. Ashley were runners up in the division. Chaminda Kuruppu made 88 in South Harrow's defeat of Welldon 2nd XI.
