Cricket Lovers
Cup
holders Sri Lankan Cavaliers brushed aside the challenge of
2006 cup winners Kondor by handing them a 5 wicket defeat.
Kondor were bowled out for 93 with Numan Jayasena (3-1) being
the star performer in the SLC bowling attack. Roy De Silva
responded with 35 in the Sri Lankan reply of 95-5 in 22 overs.

Kingsbury
Construction at 60 for 6 were saved by 97 run partnership between
Suresh Gopal (60no) & Arvind Patel (45) as they ended up with
164 for 8 in 45 overs. Kingsbury Construction then bowled out Neasden
for 70 with Rahul Patel & Vinood Bhanderi taking 3 wickets each.
DIU
complied 273 against Sayona with significant contributions from
Naresh Lacximan 62, Vijay Bagoane 47 and Hitesh Babu 40. In Sayona's
response of 164, Ishtiaq Ahmed made 54 whilst DIU's Amit Chagan
took 5-43. Shivam accounted for the scalp of Muktajivan in their
18 run victory with Dhamendra Vaja making 48. Baladia Youth Club's
Pravin Hirani took 5-33 in restricting Bharat Olympians to 151;
however when the former batted a Lawerence Dingre hat-trick in his
figures of 4-10 ensured Baladia were bowled out for 78.
Ramya
Upadhya made 5-52 and 75 against Lankians for Welldon; however they
still suffered a 142 run defeat. Embassy's Ali Haider 58 and Amir
Ahmed 58 laid the foundations in their 129 victory over Young Puthoharis.
In
division 3 league fixtures, Ali Khan of South Harrow took 6-16 in
a low scoring game against Lohana to give them their first league
win. Rajput Samaj II were too strong for Welldon II as they fell
to a 142 run defeat with Pratik Patel making 53 for the former.

Essex
CL (Lords International) v Middlesex Premier CL
The
match was delayed and commenced at 2p.m. and reduced to forty overs
each.
Middlesex
Premier won the toss and elected to field. Ali Haider and Pratik
Patel opened the bowling and the opposition had a flying start scoring
four runs and over and put on 39 runs for the first wicket. Thereafter
runs slowed down and they were 75 for 3 in 20 overs and it appeared
that they will be restricted to around 140 runs; however Londis
Lewis knock of quick fire 35 accelerated the Essex run rate as they
finished on 164 for 7 in 40 overs. Daud Haider was the pick of the
bowler taking three wickets for 33.
Pratik
Patel and Daud Haider opened the innings; Pratik started well playing
some splendid cover drives. Daud Haider soon departed with score
at 29. Abid Javed played with controlled authority as runs began
to flow. 30 runs were added for the second wicket when Pratik Patel
departed for 30. Abid Javed Mohammed continued to hit some splendid
fours and towering sixes before departing for a valuable 83. Middlesex
Premier Cricket League scored 169 for 5 wickets in 35.5 overs to
secure a victory.
