Report for 14 June 2009

Indiana made it two wins in a row with a win against Anson. Kaushik Doshi (3-26) and Darshan Depala (3-30) restricted Anson to 120. Darshan made 49 as Indiana coasted to 121-5 in 24.5 overs. Hitesh Goswani took all five Indiana wickets for 18 runs. Rajput Samaj were easy winners against Sri Lankan Cavaliers; the latter were restricted to 132 with Hiren Desai 3-16 taking the bowling honours.

Bharat Damania continued in rich vain of form with 45 to lead Rajput to a 6 wicket win in 27.4 overs. 55 from Dharmesh Patel was the key to Bharat Olympians posting 237 against West Harrow; the latter were unable to match the run rate and were bowled out for 155 in 30 overs. Kondor forfeited their match against Lankians as they were unable to raise a side due to India playing England at Lords in the 20/20 world cup.

In division 2, Rohan Salvi made 156 in United Sports total of 297-6 with skipper Jignesh Patel also weighing in with 76 in their match against Muktajivan. Naresh Jesani (86) led the Muktajivan response, however they fell 19 runs short of their target. Parus Patel of Neasden made 50 against Youth Wing in their 4 wicket victory.

In a similar fashion Jaspal Balu made 55 in Shivam's 2 wicket win over Dharmaj. Dharmesh Mepani (66) and Rajesh Patel (49) took Kingsbury Construction to a total of 214 for 9; Rashmi Patel of Welldon took 6-55. Welldon started the chase well with the 1st wicket falling at 123.

Vinod Bhanderi then produced a brilliant spell of 6-26 combined with Arvind Patel (2-24) and Kishor Halai (2-24) to bowl Welldon all out for 162 of 36.2 overs with 10 wickets falling for 39 runs. Kingsbury Construction won the match by 52 runs.

In division 3, DIU Community of Southall were bowled out for a paltry 54 by Baladia as Mahendra Mepani and Paresh Ragwani took 4-29 and 4-21 respectively; Baladia reached their target with the loss of 2 wickets. There were comfortable wins for divisional leaders Young Puthoharis over Sayona and for Lohana over Neasden II. Davendrasinh Rathod's 81 not out was the backbone as Rajput Samaj II chased down South Harrow total of 234.

DIU Daredevils Dharmendra Lilladhar (5-20) and Mitesh Lauchande (3-6) were instrumental in bowling out London Lions for 60. Mitesh than made 36 as the Daredevils reached their target in 9 overs. Jaguar's Varun Thangamani took 4-restricting MTSCC to 123. When Jaguar batted runs were hard to come by with Vasanthan Vaikuntharaja taking 4-31 for MTSCC, however the former managed to reach their target with 3 wickets to spare.
